Diploma’s thesis by Ihab Tareq Elias Khalow supervised by Dr .  Muna Mohammad Taher Jawhar

The study dealt with building a model to detect diabetes using machine learning techniques. The proposed model applies the classification model with the highest level of accuracy. The algorithms used in this thesis include Logistic Regression (LR), Decision Tree (DT), Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN). ) and Naive Bayes (NB). The data used in this research was collected from a global data set approved by the researchers. The data has been subjected to different types of pre-processing to improve the system’s performance, as will be discussed later. A set of metrics were used to examine the performance of the algorithms, such as Accuracy, Recall Rate, F1-score, Precision, and finally Confusion Metrics. The accuracy obtained from the algorithms was good.
