A new distinction for the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the Entrepreneurship Week Hackathon

The College of Computer Science and Mathematics made a distinguished appearance at the National Artificial Intelligence Hackathon, launched by the University of Mosul as part of its Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week activities. Organized by the Science and Technology Parks Department, the event culminated in the honoring of Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Al-Bazzaz, Dean of the College, at the closing ceremony. This recognition was for her leadership of the hackathon committee and her ongoing support of entrepreneurial activities.

Students from the college also achieved top rankings. The “Your Bus” project, presented by Baraa Fahmi Al-Qazzaz from the Artificial Intelligence Department and Haqqi Fathi Abdul from the Networks Department, won first place. The “Smart University Transportation System Powered by Artificial Intelligence to Enhance Volunteer Work and Sustainable Development” project, developed by Ibrahim Shaafal Ali and Yassin Saleh Ali from the Software Department, and Iman Qubais Qasim from the Mathematics Department, secured second place.

The “UniRide” project, presented by Abdulrahman Majid from the Cybersecurity Department, earned third place.

This achievement reflects the excellence of the college’s students and their ability to develop innovative technological solutions that serve the university environment and foster a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation. The Dean of the College, in turn, appreciated the students’ efforts and excellence, and thanked them for their honorable performance, which reflects the advanced scientific level of the college.
