Holding an awareness, guidance, and educational seminar entitled: “Honoring parents and their status in religion and Iraqi society”

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, the University Psychological Counseling Division held an awareness-raising, guidance, and educational seminar entitled: “Honoring Parents and Their Status in Religion and Iraqi Society” on March 1, 2026. The workshop aimed to educate the younger generation about the importance of honoring and caring for parents. God Almighty has commanded us to honor our parents, and honoring them leads first to God’s pleasure, then to success in life, and an increase in blessings in sustenance and lifespan. The lecturers at the seminar sought to instill positive behaviors in dealing with parents in their old age and to clarify the negative consequences for individuals of neglecting or disobeying their parents. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) addressed in the seminar were:

SDG 1: No Poverty
SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being
SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions

Holding a continuing education course entitled "AIOT: Concepts and Applications"
A training course entitled "University Youth Between Ambition and the Pressures of Contemporary Life" was held for the University Psychological Counseling Department.
