Laying Turf in the Computer Science Department Garden in Preparation for the New Academic Year

Under the attentive supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah Al-Bazzaz, and coinciding with the start of the new academic year, the College continues its efforts to enhance the university environment and improve the green spaces within its grounds.

In this context, the College’s Construction and Projects Unit began laying turf in the Computer Science Department’s rear garden today, September 22, 2026. The initiative aims to revitalize the area and add an aesthetic, vibrant touch to the department’s surroundings.

The Agricultural Division also carried out turf-planting and green space maintenance work. These activities are part of the University and College’s broader efforts to develop gardens and green areas, creating a suitable university environment in preparation for the new academic year.

This initiative reflects a continued commitment to improving the university environment and enhancing the College’s overall appearance. It also supports the University’s drive to achieve Sustainable Development Goals—particularly those related to environmental conservation, increasing green spaces, and providing a sustainable, healthy campus environment.
