Discussion of a Master’s Thesis at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Department of Computer Science

entitled: “Improving Security Based on Steganography with QR Code”.

The thesis was discussed in the discussion hall at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul on Sunday, 18/5/2025, for the student Afraa Zidan Younis, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Sami Nuri.

The thesis addressed improving the security of transmitting sensitive data in light of increasing security threats across digital networks, which helps prevent forgery and manipulation of data through a transmission medium.

The study addressed the presentation of the Rubik technique for encrypting digital media (images) and the creation of random keys for encryption using Logistic chaotic encryption, with the innovative hiding of the encryption keys within a QR code.

The aim of the study is to protect sensitive data from intrusion and unauthorized access while maintaining the integrity of the QR code through hiding, relying on the error correction feature provided by the QR code.
