Master’s thesis by Israa Nadhim Ismail

Discussion of the master’s thesis in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics -Department of Statistics and Informatics Department entitled:
A comparative study between the two generalizations of power function distribution with application
Master’s thesis by Israa Nadhim Ismail
supervised by Dr. Safwan Nathem Rashed
This thesis includes The power function, its properties, and generalization using the McDonald and Topp-Leone generalizations, as well as estimating its parameters and comparing two generalizations.
The study addressed To generalize the original distribution of the power function to be more flexible and fit the nature of the data by adding additional parameters to the distribution.
The study aims To generalize the power function (PF) distribution using the McDonald (McPF) (MacDonald) and Topp-Leone (TLPF) (Topp-Leone) generalizations to obtain more flexible and appropriate distributions that represent the data. The study includes an analysis of the properties of the power function distribution and the resulting generalized distributions, as well as finding the best estimator of the parameters of each distribution using the maximum likelihood method, and comparing the effectiveness of the two generalized distributions.
The discussion committee consists of
