The College of Computer Science and Mathematics wins an award on Science Day.

A student in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics’ Cybersecurity Department elevates the University of Mosul’s name to third place in Iraq for volunteer work.
In an achievement that adds to the University of Mosul’s record of excellence, Abdulrahman Majid, the dialogue director for the “Let’s Talk UOM” team and a student in the Cybersecurity Department at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, along with a team from the university’s Rehabilitation and Employment Division, won third place in Iraq in the Science Day Volunteer Work Competition.
This distinction is the culmination of the student team’s efforts to empower their colleagues through weekly interactive sessions aimed at practicing and improving English language skills. These sessions focus on exchanging discussions and ideas on various social and cultural topics, enhancing self-confidence and developing participants’ English communication skills. The award was received by Dr. Omar Qusay, Director of the Science and Technology Parks Department at the University Presidency and a lecturer at the college.
The support of the esteemed University President, Professor Wahid Al-Ibrahimi, and the follow-up and supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Duha Bashir Al-Bazzaz, had a clear impact on this harvest. Congratulations to the University of Mosul, the University President, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, the Dean of the College, and the College’s staff and students.
