A student in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics excelled in a pioneering technology competition to develop innovative solutions to intergenerational employment challenges.

Abdulmalik Abdullah Fathi, a student from the Cybersecurity Department at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul, won first place in the Career X Hackathon technology competition, organized by QAF Lab and sponsored by Asiacell.
The competition, which was held in September 2025, focused on developing innovative digital solutions to address employment challenges across generations. The student excelled in teamwork and creativity in designing practical solutions to bridge the gap between graduates’ skills and labor market requirements.
This achievement comes within the context of the development vision adopted by the College Deanship and the Dean, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah. This vision translates the strategy of supporting and motivating students to participate in scientific and technical activities. This strategy stems from the Deanship’s belief that student excellence is a key component in building a generation capable of leading digital transformation and serving society.
