Holding a continuing education course entitled “Ransomware Attacks and Detection Techniques”

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics held a course as part of its Continuing Education Series for the academic year 2025-2026, entitled “Ransomware Attacks and Detection Techniques,” on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

This course aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of ransomware attacks, their mechanisms, and methods of propagation within systems and networks. It also focused on early detection techniques, security analysis, and incident response using modern cybersecurity tools and methods, enabling trainees to implement effective strategies for prevention, risk reduction, and enhancing the security of institutional systems.
