An awareness lecture entitled “Hygiene and Epidemic Prevention: The Foundation of Community Health Security” was held by the University Psychological Counseling Department in cooperation with the Human Rights Unit.

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, through its University Psychological Counseling Division and in cooperation with the Human Rights Unit, held an awareness lecture entitled “Hygiene and Epidemic Prevention: The Foundation of Community Health Security” on April 13, 2026. The lecture was delivered by Assistant Lecturers Asmaa Ya’rub Hamid and Asmaa Muhammad Sulaiman. It aimed to enhance individuals’ awareness of the importance of personal and public hygiene as the first line of defense against diseases and epidemics. The lecture addressed effective prevention methods such as regular handwashing, sterilization, and proper environmental management. It also discussed the role of the individual and society in reducing the spread of diseases by adhering to correct health practices to maintain community safety and achieve a healthy and safe environment. The lecture contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in terms of:
