Discussion of a Master’s Thesis in the Field Crops Department

A master’s thesis was discussed in the Field Crops Department / College of Agriculture and Forestry / University of Mosul for the student (Muhammad Ahmed Ibrahim) on Sunday, 5 February -2023. Thesis title (Response of growth and yield of two cultivars of yellow corn, Zea mays L, to slow decomposition mineral nitrogen fertilization Slow N21). Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younis Al-Allaf (Dean of the College) and Prof. Dr. Ali Farouk Al-Maadidi (Associate Scientific Dean) attended a part of the discussion.The field experiment was carried out during the agricultural season (2021-2022) in two locations: the first in Abu Maria village / Tal Afar district (51 km) west of Nineveh Governorate, and the second in Hamidat district / Qasaba Badoush (20 km) northwest of Nineveh Governorate, to study the growth response Two cultivars of yellow corn (Dracma and Sangunto) were subjected to slow degradation nitrogen fertilization at levels (0, 15, 30, and 45 kg.H-1), as well as the recommendation of the Ministry of Agriculture (95 urea and 50 kg of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP).H-1).Many scientific findings are available in the thesis.The discussion committee consisted of:
